Water Bottles for Schools: Promoting Healthy Hydration

Water Bottles for Schools

Water Bottles for Schools Healthy hydration is important for children to understand. Some believe that drinking any kind of liquid is enough to keep them going. Water bottles for schools are one way to teach children about the importance of drinking water throughout the day. While it may not be allowed inside the classroom, keeping the water bottles in locker or storage spaces is ideal. During periods of activity, children should be permitted to have their water bottles with them to prevent dehydration and exhaustion.

Themed Water Bottles for Boys

Boys will be more interested in healthy hydration practices with there is a theme on the water bottles for schools that interests them. This can be items such as sports themes, male cartoon themes, or even just superheroes. Boys relate to those items much better.

You could also poll the boys in the school to see what themes interest them to have the bottles custom designed for their specific taste as a group.

Colour Schemes for Girls

Girls don’t necessarily have to have themes, something that is colourful and fun to look at generally suits them just fine. As you’re designing water bottles for schools, keep flowers, butterflies, rainbows and feminine retro themes in mind. These can be in any variety of colours but girls tend to lean toward pink, purple, sea foam green and light blue. Yellow and orange can be included but should only be as an accent.

Consider a simple polka dot or line theme as well. Girls relate to this and it makes the bottle more visually appealing. Include the school logo somewhere within the design as well but have the colours changed to be more girl friendly.

Teach Students about Healthy Hydration

Students can’t just be presented with a water bottle and expect to know why it’s being given to them. Teach students about healthy hydration and why the body needs water. Make the children understand that drinking 8 – 10 glasses of water per day is vital. It helps to keep their bodies working properly, helps to maintain healthy skin and even helps to keep bones and joints healthy. It is the purest liquid the body can take in.

Consider demonstrations that have video clips showing what happens when a person is dehydrated and how it affects the organs. Teach a few lessons regarding why the organs in the body need water to function right and what happens to the brain when the body is physically exhausted and dehydrated. You’re sure to see the water bottles in use a lot more.

This is a fun program to institute within your school. The kids get a gift as well as a valuable lesson. It will help them as they grow into teens and adults to help others stay hydrated. They will, in turn, teach their children the importance of healthy hydration and why it is important to stay away from carbonated and sugar rich beverages while they are active. Designing the water bottles for schools is also a fun project that all of the staff can work on together.
