School Water Bottles: Prevent dehydration

School Water Bottles

School Water Bottles The National Health Service, along with various organisations around the world, recommend that we drink around 1.6 to 2 litres of water a day, and if we’re exercising, or the weather is hot, we need more than this. One good way of making sure that you get enough is by having a bottle of water with you at all times.

Knowing how children act during playtime and lunch time, they will be more than likely exercising fairly vigorously, which means that they could be getting dehydrated. This is especially so if they are in the sun, and even more so if we have a summer anything like that of 2013 with its high temperatures, low cloud cover and direct sunlight. Using school water bottles can ensure your children, or children under your care, remain hydrated at all times, and avoid unnecessary visits to the school nurse, or a lapse in concentration in class.

Signs of dehydration include a lack of energy, dark coloured urine (it should be a light yellow or “straw” colour), difficulty concentrating or lightheadedness. It can take a few hours, at least, to rehydrate after becoming dehydrated, so the best way to avoid this is to make sure you drink enough water by keeping school water bottles at hand. Its been said that if you’re very thirsty you could already be dehydrated.

Reusable school water bottles are something which can be branded with the school logo or name. Branding is very important for any organisation, and arguably more so for an organisation such as a school. A school is an institution which has clear goals and values, and its very important that every member of this institution, whether its a pupil, a teacher, support staff or domestic staff, all need to be aware of the goals. The school governors and faculty will have spent a lot of time and money making sure that their logo, and name reflect the goals and values of the school, which could be argued is one of the most important institutions that we will ever belong to, and that it will shape us and our children more than any other. Therefore having the logo representing those values is important, and what is a better medium to display that logo than a reuseable school water bottle; an embodiment of a healthy lifestyle and the sustainable attitude which we all strive to achieve and propagate these days.

By offering a school logo branded water bottle for sale at school, there is the possibility of raising funds to put back into school projects, communicating the brand values and goals of the school, promoting a healthy long term lifestyle, a short term important safety concept regarding keeping hydrated, but also a message regarding the sustainability of using a reusable water bottle rather than a bought bottle of water from a shop.
