School Fundraising Mugs

Raising money for schools in an ongoing project. With local education authorities facing tight budgets, combined with schools being expected to achieve ever more, there is the potential for funding shortages.

One way a school can raise money for projects outside of core-funded areas, is through selling items to parents and the local community. A good product to sell is the School fundraising mugs. Its one of those things which everyone uses day to day. Its nice to own a piece of your children’s history, as well as own something with a story behind it, rather than just another consumer item, which was bought in an average shop.

Branding is one of those things which is important to schools, a school has strong values and clear goals, and to convey those values and goals day to day is important. Such a strong sense of belonging is also important to a school. A school is a community, and, as with every community, it’s important that the members of that community do feel a sense of belonging. By displaying a school logo, picture, motto, other image or text relating to the school on a custom mug, one can communicate this daily. With such a day to day object like a mug, the teacher, parent, staff and even child will feel that sense of community, and it will overall make a school a happier, and more cohesive place. it will also importantly, bring money into the school.

Ways of selling to parents, other family members, staff and children include displaying it on the school website. Sending letters/emails to parents advertising the School fundraising mugs, but also telling them what school project they’ll be supporting is a good way to engage them and raise more funds. At parents’ evenings, parents can be approached to buy a mug. At school fetes and festivities parents are often a captive audience, and may be able to be persuaded face to face to support a worthwhile school cause, in exchange for a keepsake, in the form of a custom mug.

School fundraising mugs aren’t limited to just one design per school. other parts of the school could have their own mugs also, such as sports teams with a photo or a fixture list. Individual classes could have a mug, again with a names list, or a photo.

Businesses and charities are also catered for, the mugs used by School-bears.co.uk exceed European standards for quality, and can have almost any image transferred onto a mug.
